Furniture!

Okay, we FINALLY have furniture! I love it! It's a light green/khaki color and it goes perfectly in the house! It's really hard to take a good picture of it, but I tried! I also threw in some pictures of the kitchen, which is messy, but perfect for us!! We have lots and lots left to do, but we're making some good headway!

Paint! And updates!

Okay, time for some updates! The painting is complete, and the fun stuff has begun. Dave has finished installing the Hardibacker for the tile, and we have the hardwood floors sitting in the living room.
The front porch columns have been installed, and the concrete steps should be poured shortly!
Here are some updated pics:

SW Crystal Clear in the Dining Room.

Our painter, Martha. Love her! You can see the SW Crystal Clear color of the dining room behind her.

SW Spangle
Hallie's ULTRA-girlie room - much brighter than it appeared on the swatch!

SW Hinting Blue in the guest room
I love this color. It's also in the laundry room and half bath.

SW Cameo White in the Master bed, baths, hallways, foyers, LR and kitchen.

Not sure where I left off last time...

...but here are some recent pictures. We are almost completed with the drywall and priming. The ceilings are almost all painted, with a few exceptions. The painter is coming Thursday for sure and we're moving right along!

Wednesday, March 19

One more day until Spring! YAY! (see Morgan, there's a YAY!). The house is completely insulated and the drywall is completely hung. Very exciting stuff! They started mudding and taping yesterday, so we are on our way!

I took pictures yesterday with my new camera, but it died before I was able to download them. Sorry! But you can really tell that it's a house now!

More Insulation and Drywall

Okay, they ran out of foam on Friday. But that's okay! They came back today. The drywall is almost completely hung, except where they need to foam (of course). Camera is on order, so hopefully next week I'll have more pictures!

Also, the temperatures are supposed to stay in the 50's this week, so maybe the garage floor is coming soon? We'll see!

Step #something...Insulation and some drywall

Okay, my camera is missing. Which means I lost it. But that's neither here nor there. Anyway...I wish I could take pictures now, because we have some awesome stuff going on at the house! They came yesterday to start the spray foam insulation. The company is called Best Solutions Building out of Pittsfield and they seem great! The foam is a poly-based 1/2 pound open-cell foam that provides a complete air barrier, which is great to seal your house! It now looks like we have really stiff cotton balls in all of the 2x6 cavities of the house. It's really neat to see the process. It looks like they are spray painting milk, and the "SCHOOOM" it expands and completely fills the entire cavity. Then, they come along with a grinder and smooth it so that it's even with the studs. Very neat. They finished the first floor yesterday, and will hopefully finish up the basement today and start on the bonus room tomorrow.

Kyle has already put the drywall up on the ceilings so that Dave and my dad could blow in R38 insulation into the attic. I even got to help a little with the cellulose and it was ever-so-fun. Now Kyle can start hanging the wall-sheetrock on the areas that are all foamed and cleaned up.

The house is a horrible mudpit, as usual. Bob, the insulator, got MAJORLY stuck and it took another tractor and truck to get him out. But he made it, which is all that matters.

I have a new camera on order, so I'll hopefully be able to post more pictures in a week!
