Okay, my camera is missing. Which means I lost it. But that's neither here nor there. Anyway...I wish I could take pictures now, because we have some awesome stuff going on at the house! They came yesterday to start the spray foam insulation. The company is called Best Solutions Building out of Pittsfield and they seem great! The foam is a poly-based 1/2 pound open-cell foam that provides a complete air barrier, which is great to seal your house! It now looks like we have really stiff cotton balls in all of the 2x6 cavities of the house. It's really neat to see the process. It looks like they are spray painting milk, and the "SCHOOOM" it expands and completely fills the entire cavity. Then, they come along with a grinder and smooth it so that it's even with the studs. Very neat. They finished the first floor yesterday, and will hopefully finish up the basement today and start on the bonus room tomorrow.
Kyle has already put the drywall up on the ceilings so that Dave and my dad could blow in R38 insulation into the attic. I even got to help a little with the cellulose and it was ever-so-fun. Now Kyle can start hanging the wall-sheetrock on the areas that are all foamed and cleaned up.
The house is a horrible mudpit, as usual. Bob, the insulator, got MAJORLY stuck and it took another tractor and truck to get him out. But he made it, which is all that matters.
I have a new camera on order, so I'll hopefully be able to post more pictures in a week!
